The 2005 Travels of Richard n Shirley

We are fulltime RV's. This means we have no other home but our motor home. We joined the Escapees RV Club and use their mail forwarding service and forum. In addition to Escapees forum, you can find us on rv.net and lrv2.com. We are Richard n Shirley on all of them. We access the internet with a Direcway satellite dish mounted on a tripod. We do set up the dish at every place we stop for the night or more. We are #2321 on datastormusers.com. Click us and you will find our current location.

I know there are parts of the country that are colder than where we are, but I'M NOT THERE! I'm here and its cold tonight at the upper 20's and will be cold till friday. The days may be warmer but the nights will be cold. You got to remember that we are in an RV and our walls are only 1.5" thick, our double pane windows leak terrible. We have some towels on three of them to cut the air flow.

Even our long hair cat gets cold. We bought a queen electric blanket and we will enjoy it again tonight. The cat gets on the bed and he enjoys it. Yeppers, its warm! DW picked up a second electric heater today and we have both of them running. Since our electric is included in our daily payment, we dont use propane unless we have to. At $3.00 a gallon, the electric is cheap when its free. And at $10.00 per day for water and electric, can't do that in a stick house.

If all goes as hopefully planned, we will be home thursday noon and able to drive on friday. Where we will be going is south Texas. First stop is Canyon Lake for a few and then on further south. We might join our RV friends, Snackmaster (Wes) & Jan at Port Aransas before we go to the Rio Grand. Not sure where but down there somewhere. As long as there is a place to fish, sun the body and a golf course, we can be happy.

Richard, Hope all is going well with the heart docs. Just checked the "wind chill" here in Mission ... 47

Sounds like we're a better part of TX than where you're at.

The meds wouldn't let me sleep tonight after 2:30 so here I am surfing, as Dale snoozes away.

Good Luck and see you when we can get together.
