The 2005 Travels of Richard n Shirley

We are fulltime RV's. This means we have no other home but our motor home. We joined the Escapees RV Club and use their mail forwarding service and forum. In addition to Escapees forum, you can find us on rv.net and lrv2.com. We are Richard n Shirley on all of them. We access the internet with a Direcway satellite dish mounted on a tripod. We do set up the dish at every place we stop for the night or more. We are #2321 on datastormusers.com. Click us and you will find our current location.

Our first full day in weatherford. Looking for a tow dolly. Its nice weather and temps. Warm but not hot, .lots of clouds but little rain.

Pulled out of the RV Ranch and headed to Weatherford to find a tow dolly for the car. Shirley has yet to ride in the coach till we get the car handled. We are parked in the Talley circle drive. We will be here for a few days. We went out to eat so Shirley’s mom would not be cooking for us.

Rain it is and we are still at RV Ranch. No choice but to pay for hook ups. Shirley used the washer/dryer and loved it. Took a little longer but it did a good job. And it was cheap. The thing uses a tablespoon of detergent per load. The loads are small. It runs from the first wash to the final spin in the dry cycle. When we do hook-up, we will be washing in the coach. Cheaper!

Rain in the forecast and our batteries are low. We must find a place to hookup for what will be the net three days. Rain is coming and no way to keep the batteries up. We will go to the RV Ranch and stay. Is a nice place to stay but a bit pricey for us at $26.95 per night. Tried a place south of there but we are to long. But when its raining and you can’t charge the batteries, you suck it up and go pay for a place to stay.

We need to make a trip to Wally World to get a few things. We will stay for most of the day and then move to Target parking lot for the night. Here we can open the slides and enjoy a larger RV. Ronnie and Cynthia came by for a visit. They so much want to get the RV and do what we are doing.

We continued loading the RV. This took all of Saturday afternoon and now it will take most of today. But we got most of it loaded. What we could not load, we gave away. It is amazing at what one keeps and yet has a hard time finding a storage space for. But it finally all fit, kinda!
Once we “left” the house for good, we went to weight the coach. And we are slightly overweight. The front axle is about 270 lbs under but the rear duals are about 660 lbs over. Total for the coach is 390 lbs over. The tires are rated at 85 psi and are 80 psi at the time we weighted the coach. We will increase the tire psi for the weight and start taking “stuff” off. Now that is decision time, what do you throw out!
We will spend the night at the Bill Martin Seafood Restaurant parking lot.
