The 2005 Travels of Richard n Shirley

We are fulltime RV's. This means we have no other home but our motor home. We joined the Escapees RV Club and use their mail forwarding service and forum. In addition to Escapees forum, you can find us on rv.net and lrv2.com. We are Richard n Shirley on all of them. We access the internet with a Direcway satellite dish mounted on a tripod. We do set up the dish at every place we stop for the night or more. We are #2321 on datastormusers.com. Click us and you will find our current location.

Today is a rain day, again. It started raining day before yesterday and we got some light rain yesterday. Since last night, it has been a steady light sprinkle. The forecast says we will receive a few more hundreds. We are in the path of the showers.

Its cool though. No more 90's. It wont reach the 70's unless it stops raining. No golf again today.
We went to our next projected stop at Nelson, NE. Its about 18 miles up the road. They do have a golf course. It did look like a cow pasture though. The price is perfect. $5.oo and $8.00 on the weekends. We will golf here in Superior course first. Its a bit higher but a much better course.

If you look real close, closer, even closer, you can see it. Right? you got to look closer and then it will appear. Now do you see it?

Its right there! Right out in plain sight. Highly visible. Its my Shirley's favorite. It even has a red head. Its the wood pecker on the tree. Now do you see it?

Here are a few more pics of our place in Superior, NE. Its a perfect place for a 14 day stop over and recover. Its a perfect place to get some much needed rest. We are going to get some maintance on the rv done, wire the rv for the satellite and make a much easier setup, play some golf and generally be bums.

In setting up the satellite and taking it down, the cables have worn to the point that they have become unusable. We began having problems with the modem powering up. the wiring was causing a short to appear and it first looked like it was the modem. But, we replaced the wires on the dish and eveything is running. I contacted my supplier and I will have new cables in a day or two. We are also going to put sand in the bag inlieu of water. We put the bag in the car when we travel and the floor is wet.

This is such a nice place. The trees are atleast 75 ft tall, providing lots of shade. We had to do some searching to find a place to get a signal to the satellite. Hence, we are in the sun part of the day.

As you can see, the rv is all decked out in her awnings, picknick table and dish. DW has gone to the laundey and we all will have
clean clothes. And she is back and we have clean clothes. YEA!

This is the park we are at in Guide Rock, NE for the night. This is one of the small city "free" parks we stay at. The other side of this is we usually have no phone service. So, again, contact us by email as this is the most effective way to contact us till we get to an area of phone service.
