The 2005 Travels of Richard n Shirley

We are fulltime RV's. This means we have no other home but our motor home. We joined the Escapees RV Club and use their mail forwarding service and forum. In addition to Escapees forum, you can find us on rv.net and lrv2.com. We are Richard n Shirley on all of them. We access the internet with a Direcway satellite dish mounted on a tripod. We do set up the dish at every place we stop for the night or more. We are #2321 on datastormusers.com. Click us and you will find our current location.

Now all about the pills. We are now on 20 mg of Isosorbide Mononitrate for "heart attack and chest pain". Thats what it says. Without looking it up on a Rx website, it is probably to relax the chest blood vessels. Working with the aspirin, the two should provide a better flow of blood around the heart and chest area. The doctor felt that this Rx would provide another layer of protection till I see the Dr at the hospital.

Problem with the pills is the side effects. Specifically the headaches. I have had to stop the aspirin as there was a conflict. The aspirin seems to enhance the side effects. I have to take advil for the headaches. They are worse in the late afternoon and evening. So far we take 4 to 6 tabs a day. And now we have gotten our upset tummy again.

This is a nightly thing. At times the sore tummy causes some real bad chest pain. gets me up several times during the night. I take mylanta liquid for this to keep the acis reflex in the stomach and not in the esphogus. We had this several months ago and now its back. Time and less food on the stomach will fix this again till we can see a Dr. And no its not a heart attack, its a different pain.

Yesterday we did more chores. Shirley and I went and bought the parts we needed to repair our antenna, did some browsing at wal-mart, checked on a new windshield for the Chevy, and had pizza for lunch. Once we goy back, I got on top of the rv and did a fix on the antenna. We called our insurance company and got setup for a new windshield for tomorrow. Got the tow dolly tail light working which has not since we left IL.

That was the day. We got it all done by late afternoon. Tomorrow is more to do.

Well its monday evening and the trash is still there. In fact it is growing. As the weekenders leave, they drop off their trash. Shirley is taking our trash to a different dumpster that is not as full. Where is the "MAN" when you need him.

We took a pill this morning. But we did not take the aspirin. So far we have had only two non aspirin tablets. The headache seems to attack my sinus area around the eyes. If this approach works, we should be able to take the nitrate Rx. Time will tell.

If you havent been or do not know about, you can keep up with our location by going to our location on the map. We are dish 2321 and can be tracted anywhere we go. I keep this up dated as to our location for our family and friends that follow our travels. Some of our rv classmates we have meet are dish 1577, 1237, 1927, 1858, 2706, 2470, 2003 and 2718. After you access my location, change the dish nuber to one of these to see where some of our 2005 classmates are. This can be fun. And look at my links for some other good travel logs.

Its monday and the rush is on, somewhere but here. We are relaxing and enjoying life. My appointment at the Dallas VA hospital is scheduled for Dec,05. My Dr appointment is Nov 4, 05. Sure has put a kink in our plans. We both wanted to be somewhere by 11/1/05 and be working. Not so now. I have serious thoughts about cancelling and rescheduling the hospital date to March or April. Will have to think about all this.

We have gone through another weekend and the crowd is gone. We are down to three MH and two 5'vers and an "aliner" next door. Peace and quite till friday. Shirley is going to wash the carpet with a carpet cleaner. Read how our rv friend George does his cleaning. He is a interesting guy we keep up with a he travels the west. He is on his way to Mexico for the winter. We email George every once in a while to ask questions. There are other rv's here but not in our immediate area.

Someone has found that there is wifi here.
DCTK6381, computer name, has gotten on our wifi. I am wireles and allow others the use of the signal when they are close enough. Its not to often that someone is on. For most people, havine a chance to get their email at a place like ours is unheard of. So far there have been no problems for us. I watch for any unauthorize entry. Besides, we dont store or personal and financial data on the computers.

There is a webshots file I keep up of pics of the places we have been. Its not much but there have been some interesting things to see. I have quests. I'm outside and there are birds and now I have a squrrel. He went under the car. Shirley saw a deer as she came back. We have a den of coyotes here. The howl at dusk and they do seem close by.

I hope the COE reads this. Our trash bins are full and over flowing. Since we have been here, I have seen trash pick up only once. The evidence is the trash in the bins. Its there everyday and its really there today. Pugh weee! And I bet the coyotes got into the bags as it is spread around this morning. I'll take pics and if we dont get a pick up today, I'll post them here. Any bets as to it will not make a difference? The camp host came by and saw the mess. These hosts are new here and have no idea the pick up schedule for the trash. He said he would call the office and advise of our mess.
